Virtual World for ‘tweens and teens working with Interscope Geffen A&M and Epic Records
SHELBURNE FALLS, Mass., Dec 03, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Today Planet Cazmo, http://www.planetcazmo.com, a virtual world for ‘tweens and teens, announced a December Virtual Concert Series featuring five artists from Sony Epic Records and Interscope Geffen A&M Records. This first of its kind Virtual Holiday Concert Series will reach Planet Cazmo’s rapidly growing global audience.
The Planet Cazmo Virtual Holiday Concert schedule is as follows:
Saturday, December 6: Natasha Bedingfield Saturday, December 13: The Clique Girlz Saturday, December 20: Soulja Boy
All concerts will begin at 2 PM EST, and will be re-played each hour on the hour until 9PM EST that evening. The concerts will take place inside Planet Cazmo’s new virtual concert arena, the “Cazmorena”. The celebrity musicians will appear as animated characters with high-quality music from their recent releases.
“We designed Planet Cazmo to serve the audience that is graduating out of Club Penguin and the other virtual worlds for children. This concert series, with top artists who appeal to a more mature audience, is part of our strategy to appeal to kids aged 10 – 16,” said Mike Levine, Founder and CEO of Planet Cazmo. On Halloween night, Planet Cazmo hosted their first virtual concert featuring Sony Epic Records artist, Yung Berg. According to Levine, “the concert was a tremendous success, hosting more users than we’ve ever had on Cazmo at one time.”
